Kate Hilton, JD, MTS

Co-Founder & Principal

Kate equips leaders at all levels to build individual and organizational capability to address the adaptive, human-side of change. Her work ranges from:

  • Teaching and coaching global leaders to apply adaptive leadership skills to build more equitable organizations and communities;

  • Advising senior leaders and training frontline staff to increase workforce wellbeing, engagement and staff retention;

  • Developing and delivering assessments, courses, trainings and workshops to build trust and transform organizational culture in the process of getting results;

  • Giving keynote talks, conducting innovation work and authoring white papers on adaptive leadership, organizational trustworthiness and the psychology of change;

  • Counseling large-scale change efforts to incorporate motivational change, community organizing and participative management methods into overall strategy.

Kate believes in answering two key questions at the outset of improvement and innovation efforts: “Who are our people?” and “What matters to us?” Her approach involves centering on the people experiencing a problem, activating them to be the authors of the solutions, and equipping them to use adaptive leadership methods to achieve results.
